It’s been a while since I last posted on the blog and I do apologize for that. I know in the last post I said I would try to keep you all informed on what was happening as we travelled, unfortunately things didn’t go as well as I hoped for. After arriving in London and having been there for three days, I got the news that my mother had suddenly taken ill and was in intensive care in Wellington Hospital. From that point on everything went into overdrive mode to get the first available flights back home, but before we managed to do so and within hours of getting the initial phone call, we got the second call to say she had past away.
Two weeks after mums funeral we decided we would resume the trip. We had missed the France and Italy section, but there was still Greece and the Greek Islands remaining. So back we went.
After getting back on track with the trip, we realized that posting to the blog was not going to be easy, in fact it was dam near impossible. When we were staying in hotels that had Wi Fi connections, they would cut out halfway through an upload and sometimes we couldn’t get a connection at all. It was very frustrating, so I decided to give it away.
Anyway I came back with over two and a half thousand images that I have to sort through. I’ll share some of them and a bit of the story behind them at a later date.
This image was taken at sunset in the little fishing bay called Limnonaki on Samos Island.
